Mrs. Kelly's Bee 1.7
Hey guys! I hope you all had another successful week! I got quite a bit done this week. I was able to get into my mom's classroom to work on the painting. My plan was to get the stripes painted along with some other details. I bought some acrylic paint and used the brushes my mom had in her classroom. All she had were foam brushes, and when I tried to use them it was almost impossible to paint inside the lines and make it look neat. I went back into her craft cabinet and stole a paint brush from one of the water color kits and that worked so much better. I ended up being able to finish the stripes, the fluffy part of the body, the antennas and the legs.
Above is the progress I have made this week. This next week, I hope I can get in t and finish the painting. I also plan on having my mom teach me how to use her cricut to print out a word to put underneath. I am not completely sure if I will be able to go to the school because I am in quarantine, but I will look into it and figure out a plan. I can't wait see everyone's progress!
This is so cute! I remember being a busy bee! How did you cover up the mistakes that you mad e with a bigger brush? Did you just make your outlines bolder? What material did you use to do your bee outline?
ReplyDeleteI had to check back in to look at your progress and I absolutely love it Rachel! Did you draw it free hand or did you use a stencil? The bee looks like a professional did it! I hope you're able to get into the school to finish, good luck!
ReplyDeleteIt looks really good Rachel! Did you end up using the over head projector you said you were going to use at the very beginning? Anyway keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing it finished.
ReplyDeleteThis is Natalie. This is impressive! I'm sure your mom's students will love this! Has being in quarantine altered your Action Plan at all? Anyways, awesome job! I can't wait to see how the finished product looks!
